You Are Not Alone: Finding Community
There’s a kind of loneliness that doesn’t always look like loneliness.
You might be surrounded by people—at work, online, even at home.
You answer messages, go to meetings, maybe even smile on cue.
And still…
There’s that ache.
The quiet whisper:
“No one really gets me.”
The myth of the strong one
If you're the one who always shows up…
The one who remembers birthdays, asks the thoughtful questions, holds space for others—
It can feel hard to admit:
You need support, too.
Not just surface-level connection, but the kind that sees beneath the surface.
The kind that says:
“Me too. I’ve been there. You’re not too much.”
Real community begins with real you
Here’s something tender and true:
You don’t find true community by being who you think you should be.
You find it when you start showing up as you actually are.
That doesn’t mean oversharing or abandoning boundaries.
It means allowing yourself to be human.
Messy. Beautiful. In-process.
Because the people who are meant to walk with you?
They’re not looking for perfection.
They’re looking for resonance.
The courage to reach out
Sometimes finding your people starts with the tiniest brave act.
Saying yes to that invite.
Showing up to the Zoom call.
Letting your guard down, just a little.
Asking for help, even when you could technically figure it out on your own.
Every act of vulnerability is a doorway.
And every doorway you walk through with your heart open
makes it more likely for someone to meet you on the other side.
You are not too much. You are not alone.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to reach out, reconnect, or root into community again—
Let this be it.
There are people out there who will love you in your fullness, not just your usefulness.
There are spaces where your voice is not only welcome, but needed.
There are conversations waiting that will feel like coming home.
You don’t have to do this life alone.
You were never meant to.
